The UI Kit as a Single Source of Truth: From Design Mock-ups to Production

As the number of products in our department grew, it became clear that without a unified design system, our interfaces would quickly lose consistency. Our frontend team initiated the creation of a shared UI Kit as a “single source of truth” — covering everything from Figma designs to production-ready code.

In this talk, I’ll describe how we built an end-to-end workflow from design to production, organised work on texts and localisation, and involved designers, technical writers, analysts, and product managers. I’ll also share our processes for developing and documenting reusable components, as well as our experience running an internal frontend blog that helps scale knowledge across the company.
