Technical Writer in GameDev: Needed or Not?

The community of technical writers (even with the development of AI) is growing, a dedicated role appears where it did not exist before. One such rare domain is game development (GameDev). At first glance, it may seem strange: what is there to write for an audience that buys a product to PLAY it? The answer is simple — nothing :) But a technical writer can still be invaluable, for example, by maintaining the team’s internal knowledge base (which definitely needs clear instructions on how things work).

In this talk, I’ll share insights into the specifics of the GameDev industry and some of the unique challenges it presents for technical writers.
