Your Personal Editor: Using AI for Proofreading and Localization

  • 40 min

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a promising tool that accelerates work and improves the quality of text, as well as serves as a reliable assistant in localization. However, a simple request like "simplify the text" often leads to unpredictable results, requiring as much time as regular editing.

In the Doc&Loc department at Kaspersky, we explored the optimal use of AI for proofreading and accelerating translation. We can confirm that AI-assisted proofreading is not a “black box” but rather a process with clear rules and quality control.

I will showcase use cases of AI for technical writers and localization specialists, as well as how to enhance productivity when working with chatbots. I will discuss the approaches to creating context-aware prompts aligned with corporate standards, address integration barriers, and demonstrate the results—how much time we reduced on our performance and how the quality of the text changed.
