Robots should work hard, not people

  • 40 min

Have you ever received a task so large that it made your eyes pop out of your head? And the most frustrating part — you realise that a significant amount of time will be spent on manual labour. Or perhaps you've become so bogged down in routine and monotony that you haven't considered the possibility of someone easing your burden?

What to do then? The answer is in the title of the presentation. It's time to hand over routine, uninteresting tasks to robots. And a DocOps engineer can assist with this.

In my presentation, you will learn how a DocOps engineer understands what, when and how to automate. Using real-life examples, we'll explore the differences in approaches to documenting products — with and without the involvement of a DevOps engineer.

My colleague, Polina Petrova, attempted to calculate the benefits that a team gains from implementing DocOps practices. I will focus on the real application of the DocOps philosophy.
