One way to understand something about yourself is to request feedback from people who are important to you. For a technical writer, these people are the customers of documentation.

In my talk, I will share my experience in researching the needs of documentation customers. I’ll also tell you how communication with customers helped us form a department development strategy and make technical writers more recognisable in the company.
