Everything a Speaker Needs to Know Before the Conference
Key deadlines, submission preparation, collaboration with curators, the final presentation and participation terms — all on one page so that nothing gets lost on the way to the programme.
The key preparation milestones for TechWriter Days: from submitting your proposal to the publication of the final schedule.
10 August 2026
Submission Deadline
YYour talk must be submitted no later than this date. After submission, you will be assigned one or more curators who will help refine the talk and materials. If you do not yet have a specific topic, please indicate this in the submission title and prepare several options before your call with the curator. Submissions without a specific topic must be submitted no later than 13 July 2026.
By this date, a content-complete version is required, even if the design is not yet final. Based on the draft presentation, the curator will be able to provide useful recommendations on structure and slides. If no draft presentation is provided, your talk may be rejected even before a curator is assigned due to insufficient information.
10 January 2027
Completion of Talk Selection
Selection of talks for the main programme and reserve list is completed. By this point, the speaker profile, talk title, and abstract must be finalised. A possible additional submission window for specific topics may open from 13 November to 24 November 2026. Only talks on the announced topics will be considered during this period.
22 February 2027
Publication of the Final Schedule
The final conference programme schedule is published on the website.
24 February 2027
Final Presentation
The final version of the presentation must be uploaded to the designated cloud folder. Workshop hosts must also provide a list of required handout materials and mock-ups, venue requirements (for example, room setup) and attendee requirements (such as laptops, pre-installed software or expected level of preparation).
19–20 March 2027
Speaking at TechWriter Days #4
You will give a talk, answer participants’ questions, and compete for the Audience Choice Awards.
Important: Failure to comply with the rules and key deadlines may result in the exemption of the talk from the conference, regardless of the current review status of the submission.
How the Preparation Process Works
From Idea to Stage
Preparation is iterative: the list of accepted talks is updated monthly, while the curator helps turn the material into a strong presentation.
Submit Your Talk
Describe the topic, format and value of your talk for the conference audience.
Work with Your Curator
Discuss the structure, wording, focus points and expected outcome for the audience.
Finalise the Materials
Prepare a draft presentation and refine it according to the recommendations.
Take the Stage
Monitor the schedule and be prepared for changes, especially if your talk is on the reserve list.
